This is one of only four books I know of that Marvin Albert wrote (as Al Conroy) in the Clayburn series. This go ‘round Dell Books gave them better covers.

CEMETERY JONES
Yes, they called him "Cemetery Jones" - but not usually to his face. Although William R. Cox had been writing Westerns for many years, I first discovered with him this book. He was kind enough to autograph this one (plus the follow-up, CEMETERY JONES AND THE MAVERICK KID) via the postal service for me.

Here's an oddity for ya. Manor Books had a "Reader Guarantee" that if you didn't like the book they would send you another. No record if any of that ever happened, though.
I was in Texas when I bought this at a used book place. A friend I was with at the time tried to talk me out of buying it as it was "crap" (his words). I didn't listen and bought it anyway.
You've got to love a book where a preacher kills men who don't listen to the Word of God. Good thing Billy Graham didn't work that way.
HELLTOWN
Once upon a time - in the 1980's, let's say - there was a publishing phenomenon called "The Adult Western". What it meant, basically, was that one took the sexual act and incorporated it into the story. 2 or 3 sex scenes per book was par for the course.
HELLTOWN is unusual because one did not normally see out and out nudity on the book covers - most of it was strategically blocked. But here it is for what it is.
I met Dallas Todd (a pseudonym) at a writer's convention and he was kind enough to sign it (and another he did) for me. One book is signed "With Shame", the other "With Pride".
