A celebration of Western novels, comics, movies, television and literature, both classics and contemporary. Although comments will be posted on some entries and not others, I won't necessarily be "reviewing" each item. I just appreciate Westerns in general and hope that fellow kindred spirits will, too. LONE STAR AND THE SHOWDOWNERS
A series to cash in on the success of the LONGARM books.
When I asked the man who created the LONGARM series if he had created and was working on LONE STAR, too, he said, "Hell no. This is little more than the Lone Ranger - with tits!" (His words, not mine).
Don't really know when LONE STAR ended, but she may still pop up occasionally in one of those LONGARM giant editions.
Can't fault the cover art here. In fact, I'm fairly certain that I've had that same stupid grin on my face as the lucky cowhand in question does when the pretty girl I'm still married to pulls MY pants off.
